20 migliori ristoranti French per raccomandazione a Intorno a Dotonbori
Che cosa è French?: French cuisine centers on craft, balance, and the pleasure of the table. Menus often move in a gentle arc from amuse-bouche and hors d’oeuvre to fish, meat, cheese, and dessert, inviting a measured pace and thoughtful pairings. Sauces built from stocks, wine, and butter frame the flavors, while techniques such as sautéing, braising, poaching, and confit create depth and texture. Classic dishes like coq au vin, bouillabaisse, duck confit, and steak au poivre appear alongside seasonal market plates and contemporary interpretations. Bistros tend to highlight comfort and simple generosity, whereas modern dining rooms may emphasize precision and plating finesse. Bread, artisanal cheese, and pastries—crème brûlée, soufflé, or tarte Tatin—often round out the experience. Whether you seek a leisurely multi-course meal or an unfussy plate with a glass of wine, this category offers a spectrum of styles connected by technique, terroir, and a respect for ingredients.

And it's a collaboration with the world-famous brand Louis Vidon!
I was so excited to be able to visit the restaurant above the newly opened Louis Vuitton restaurant in Shinsaibashi! I was offered to come.

First of all, bang! A painting with a big presence!
I took a picture of it, but I'll refrain from posting it here.
This painting is a portrait of Chef Suga by Mr. Robuchon.
How rare!
We started the meal while glancing at the painting.

Chef Nagahama himself came around the table to explain the ingredients!
He was polite, smiling and charming!
He must be busy, but it is always a pleasure to have him here!
The dishes are dynamic and wild!

But I was satisfied with the food, space, and service that I could only experience here!
I will have to work hard for the time being to afford such a high price, but I will do my best so that I can come back one day!
Thank you for letting me enjoy an extraordinary experience!
Thank you for the food!
The restaurant now also offers take-out!
This one can be done without an introductory offer!

There was a wide range of choices on the lunch menu, but since it was my first time, I ordered the 5,000 yen course. This course seemed very reasonable for what it offered. The dishes were brought out one after the other, and all were satisfying. While there are many inexpensive restaurants with inferior quality, Escale is a place I would like to return to.
In a space that feels like home, you can relax and spend time slowly with a small group. The wine cellar is lined up, and the pairings were perfect. The chef, who also teaches at a culinary school, has interesting stories that make the meal even more enjoyable. The lobster flan and the sea bream and avocado tartare particularly stood out to me. The corn-scented soup and the roasted local chicken with green pea sauce also paired well. Even the finishing touch of crème brûlée was meticulous, leaving a pleasant aftertaste.
