A bowl by a world champion at a Kawaramachi hideaway with no sign and a 7-meter counter waiting.
A hidden bar with no sign called APOTHECA opened in 2017 on the 4th floor of Yotokan, a 7-minute walk from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station. It is run by owner-bartender Yoshiki Matsuo and serves world-class cocktails. In 2023 it produced Daichi Takahashi, the world champion of the Hennessy Global Cocktail Competition, and in recent years has been active internationally with overseas guest shifts. As a Kyoto establishment that attracts guests from Japan and abroad, it continues to captivate many people.
