A recommended dish using fresh seafood is the nodoguro (boiled bluefin tuna), a gem soaked in plenty of sauce. Kinki no nizakayaki (boiled kinki) is also a well-known specialty, and goes great with sake.

Takeno" in Tsukiji is a long-established diner that has been run by the family for over 88 years. Keisuke and his six relatives work together to run the restaurant on a daily basis, and they have a particularly strong reputation for their boiled fish dishes. The fact that the restaurant is crowded with customers every day shows that it continues to be loved by the locals.

The owner was interested in working in the kitchen from a young age and decided to pursue culinary training after graduating from junior high school. After high school, he attended culinary school for one year before joining the family business. His younger brother Takashi followed the same path, and after getting married, his spouse began helping out in the restaurant, so the whole family is involved in the operation.
