Kaiseki Cuisine Gosho Minami Kamata just opened on May 12, 2019. The owner was the head chef at Gion Rakuraku for 20 years. The exterior and interior are, of course, beautiful and elegant with the atmosphere of a Japanese restaurant. If you order sake, you can choose your favorite sake cup from the many handsome sake cups available. There is one private room for up to six people and eight seats at the counter. Reservations must be made by the day before, and only kaiseki courses are offered in the evening. This kind of restaurant is not usually available to drop by, so it's nice to have a special experience (*´-`). On this day, we set our budget at 4,000 yen and requested a course. In the appetizer Eggplant, grilled lotus root, salmon marinated in salted malt and then grilled, pear, and fig. And the sauce poured over it was made from white tofu. Take time to savor the taste of each ingredient. From there, they are served one after another, In the bowl It contains ingredients such as matsutake mushrooms and hamo, which are in season now, and The aroma wafting through the air is a delight to the senses. A few drops of kabosu squeezed into the bowl the refined sweetness of the dashi broth can be tasted even more deeply. And, in the appetizers The dishes are beautifully arranged with carefully seasoned ingredients one by one, They all look elaborate. For the rice dish, there was a choice of two types. This time, since it was autumn, I chose the seasonal Akinoto fish. The Akinoto fish, marinated overnight in liver soy sauce, was unraveled in front of us and served in a bowl. This process was another part of the performance. The rice was soft and fluffy with a sweetness, the flesh was firm, the flavor was strong and light, and the spiciness of the sansho (Japanese pepper) appeared in some places. By this point, my stomach is just about full, and I feel like I'm having a luxurious time. I was soaking in the time, looking back in a relaxed manner, thinking that I was having a luxurious time. Finally, dessert. Mango cold, apple in red wine, pear, persimmon, and grape sherbet. Honey is used for the jelly. Each dish served conveys a sense of tenderness, The more you immerse yourself, the warmer your body and heart become. I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. I had a wonderful time!
