Asakusa Omakase Sushi Restaurant "Horikawa"

We use fresh ingredients sourced directly from Toyosu Market and fishermen across the country, carefully prepared with the skills of our artisans. For the rice, we use a blend of Sasanishiki and Koshihikari, and by using red vinegar and rice vinegar for each type of ingredient, we provide a rich-tasting sushi piece.

Opened on February 16, 2024, in Asakusa. The restaurant name carries the wish that 'I hope you become happy by eating sushi.' With fresh ingredients and artisan skills, it provides a happy moment for those who visit. As a new landmark in Asakusa, it is loved by locals and tourists alike.

Kyohei Horikawa, born in Chiba Prefecture in 1978, knocked on the door of Sushiya no Kanpachi at age 20 and, after seven years of apprenticeship, began his career at Ginza's renowned restaurant Sushi Fukuju. He continued honing his skills as a craftsman at sushi restaurants across Tokyo, including Akasaka, Roppongi, and Shinjuku. After going independent he opened a six-seat restaurant in Asakusa, where he pours years of technique and sensibility into each piece of sushi, using shari (seasoned rice) adjusted for each topping and ingredients shipped directly from Toyosu and from around Japan.
