Nikka Frontier is a high cost-performance blended whiskey released by Nikka Whisky in October 2024, featuring Yoichi malt as the key malt. With a malt ratio of over 51% and non-chill filtered (room temperature filtered), it is characterized by a smoky and rich flavor.

Flavor: You can feel a round and soft umami with a well-balanced sweetness. It has a unique flavor expansion characteristic of junmai sake, and the elegant acidity cuts through the taste sharply.
In contrast to the rich, heavy Yamahai brewing of the famous sake 'Tengumai', this has a light, smooth, and modern flavor. It is not tiresome to drink: it has a gentle aroma and the umami of rice, yet the aftertaste is very light, allowing you to keep enjoying it.
Polished to 45%: The rice used is Yamada Nishiki, polished to 45% (removing 55% of the rice grain). This meets the standard for Junmai Daiginjo (below 50%). It features a fruity and elegant aroma reminiscent of vibrant fruits, along with a delicate and smooth sweetness derived from the rice.
