Yoshino Sushi Honten

Located in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, the restaurant is very conveniently located directly behind the Nihonbashi Takashimaya Department Store. There is counter seating and table seating on the first floor, and a private room on the second floor where you can spend time in comfort. Although the interior of the restaurant is old and historical, every corner is meticulously cleaned to maintain a sense of cleanliness.

Yoshino Sushi Honten is a long-established sushi restaurant with a history dating back to 1879, when a fish market existed in Nihonbashi, starting from a food stall. It is also famous for being the first restaurant to serve Toro-nigiri, and boasts a history of over 140 years.

Masatoshi Yoshino was born and raised in Nihonbashi and still lives above the store. He is a graduate of Joto Elementary School in front of Tokyo Station and has always been a local favorite. After graduating from college, he decided to follow in the family business of sushi chefs and became the fourth generation to take over Yoshino Sushi's main restaurant. He has gained a lot of social experience since his youth and values not only making sushi but also making contacts with various people.
