Limited 60-serving lunch in Ginza that you should eat even if you have to wait in line Limited to 60 servings a day, this restaurant serves Matsuwa horse mackerel, a famous brand of horse mackerel. Fried horse mackerel set meal (1,200 yen) I thought it might be a little expensive. I thought it might be a little expensive, but if you can enjoy freshly caught horse mackerel in Tokyo with thick meat like mackerel, and without the distinctive smell of horse mackerel, it is rather inexpensive. First, take a bite without adding anything, it is delicious! It is also delicious with grated radish and wasabi on top and a dash of soy sauce. I would like to go there before 11:00 a.m. next time.

The last time I looked at my last post was in June 2013, so it's been 6 years since I've been back. During that time, I had passed by the neighborhood but gave up because of the huge line. This time I had plenty of time to spare, so I joined in at the end of the line. There was only one menu item on the menu (fried horse mackerel set meal, 1,300 yen), and there was also a limited small bowl of food (300 yen), so I ordered that as well. I put plenty of grated daikon (Japanese radish) on the fish and bit into it. The fish tasted freshly caught that day, so there was none of the smell characteristic of bluefish, and all you could taste in your mouth was the taste of horse mackerel (no pun intended). And the meat is so thick that it is almost like it is a small mackerel. The breading is thin and crispy, making it easy to eat even for those who don't like fried food. Not only the main dish, but also rice, miso soup, pickles, and small bowls of cooked food are all delicious. I would like to revisit this restaurant even if I have to wait in a long line.

We visited on the evening of 12/29. It was the end of the year, but we were able to get a reservation and spent a relaxing time. We had two kinds of appetizers, sashimi, grilled fish, boiled fish, and fried horse mackerel for the main course. Thank you very much for the full meal. Thank you also for your courteous service. Thank you very much.

This is my second visit at night. As a fish lover, I am in bliss. The amount of sashimi is just right. The grilled fish is just enough with grated daikon without soy sauce. The boiled fish has just the right amount of sweetness and is perfect in every way. The noodles at the end were also crispy and very satisfying. I was also impressed by the thoughtfulness of the staff. We had a pleasant and enjoyable meal. Thank you very much. I will visit again.

Fried horse mackerel set meal There is always a line before the store opens, and about an hour after the store opens, there is a sign that says "Fried horse mackerel". When I passed by the restaurant after 1:00 p.m., there were still some left, so I went in without a second thought. The reputed fried horse mackerel seems to be popular not so much for the horse mackerel itself but for the way it is fried. The fine bread crumbs are fried so that they are crispy and moisture is thoroughly removed, resulting in a light and crispy texture. This Japanese-style horse mackerel fry goes well with soy sauce and grated daikon (Japanese radish) instead of sauce.

The evening is course only, but I am too busy eating to enjoy it. I don't think it was like this before. The food isn't bad and I'm not complaining about the fried horse mackerels, but..., Maybe I'm misremembering.
